Open Career Opportunities

Part-Time Afterschool Site Director

The Greater Marco Family YMCA is seeking energetic individuals to work in our After School Programs. Program sites located on Marco Island and in East Naples. Applicant must have direct experience working with children ages 5-12 years old. The position is year-round (part-time position during the school year and possible full-time for the summer). Competitive pay and membership benefits. Individuals will be required to maintain DCF  and CCPS regulations. Applicant must possess a Director’s Credential and must be over the age of 21. CPR and First-Aid certification is also required.

Part-Time Afterschool Counselors

The Greater Marco Family YMCA is seeking energetic individuals to work in our After School Programs. Program sites are located on Marco Island and East Naples. Applicants must have direct experience working with children ages 5-12 years old. The position is year-round (part-time position during the school year and possible full-time for the summer). Competitive pay and membership benefits. Individuals will be required to maintain DCF and CCPS regulations. Applicant must obtain the state mandated 45 hours immediately upon employment and must be 18 years of age. CPR and First-Aid certification is also be required.

Activities Driver (Togetherhood)

The activities driver is responsible for transporting program participants to and from the YMCA or YMCA activities for fitness or social events.  The driver also maintains general upkeep of the vehicles. Must have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving a 19 passenger vehicle. CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.

Summer Camp Directors (Seasonal)

The Day Camp Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and supervision of the Summer Day Camp Program, with the support and guidance of the School Age Supervisor.  He/she serves as the leader of a team of people with the goal of providing excellent care for school aged children (K-5th grade).  It is his/her responsibility to make sure that YMCA standards and procedures as well as those of the Department of Children and Families are followed.  He/she will supervise Program Counselors and will make regular reports to the School-Age Supervisor.

Day Camp Teacher (Seasonal)

To coordinate and conduct a variety of literacy and/or math based activities using the Florida state standards and the CCPS curriculum guides. The instructor will meet daily with students in both whole and small groups. Literacy/Math rich centers will be used within each group to promote individual learning and growth. The content instruction will be aligned with the weekly camp themes.

Summer Camp Counselors (Seasonal)

The Camp Counselor is a vital member of a team of people with the goal of providing excellent care for school aged children (K-5th grade) during school holidays and camp days. Under the guidance of the Site Director, he/she will be responsible for direct supervision of children, implementation of planned daily activities, and maintenance of the Program environment, equipment and supplies.  He/she will make every effort to develop and foster a positive relationship with the children and their parents.

Swim Instructors

The primary responsibility of A YMCA Swim Instructor is to work under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director to provide a safe and educational aquatic environment for all YMCA swim lesson instructors and participants.
Requirements:
• Lifeguard certification with American Red Cross and/or YMCA
• First Aid/ CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification
• Oxygen administration and blood born pathogen certification
• YMCA swimming lesson certification or attend in-house training.

Life Guards

The primary responsibility of A YMCA lifeguard is to work under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director, provide a safe aquatic environment and to utilize good member service skills with all who enter the aquatic facility.
Requirements:
• Lifeguard certification with American Red Cross and/or YMCA
• First Aid/ CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification
• Oxygen administration and blood born pathogen certification
• Redwood Computer trainings as directed.
