Water Safety Day
June 12, 2021
12pm – 2pm
Free & Open To The Public.
The YMCA of South Collier wants to ensure that water safety doesn’t get lost in Collier County’s eagerness to return to a “normal” summer. As temperatures rise, kids want to cool off in home pools, ponds, lakes, rivers, streams, or oceans and that means the risk of drowning is as prevalent as ever. For National Water Safety Day, June 12th, The YMCA of South Collier is encouraging parents and caregivers to reinforce the importance of water safety skills with the entire family.
Water Safety Day takes place at The YMCA of South Collier from 12pm – 2pm and features:
- Hands only CPR, AED & home pool safety.
- Floating, treading, reaching assists and reaching for the wall.
- Life Jacket safety & proper fitting.
- A safety story from Stewie the Duck!
*Participants must bring swimming suits & life jackets (if they have them).
