Meet Our Trainers
At the Y we have Personal Trainers who work with you on a one-on-one basis to setup and maintain a workout program that helps you get to a healthier lifstyle.
Gary Kalman Gary has over 40 years of personal weight training and exercise experience, and has been a full time Personal Trainer since 2005 conducting 45 to 50 personal training sessions per week. He still remains as curious as ever about learning what works and how to help people achieve the best results possible. He is a lifetime learner of health, exercise, nutrition, and coaching psychology.
Gary is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has completed advanced certifications with NASM: Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, Golf Fitness Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Senior and Youth Fitness Specialist and CPR/AED Certified.
Regardless of your current fitness level, injuries, or anything else you think may be a limiting factor, Gary will figure out a program that is realistic and sustainable. Professional guidance and accountability will be the backbone of what drives the personal training relationship. Gary’s experience working with the older adult population is the core of his programs. “I find working with older adults gives me the most satisfaction as I regularly see the improvements they make in their physical and psychological wellbeing”.
